British Airways accepts
first SupraPan180 update
Q4 Services has
successfully upgraded the display systems installed
on the British Airways 747-400 and converted the
existing Wide Projectors to the new SupraPan
standard and simultaneously increased the Field of
view from 150 to 180
Combining the
SupraPan projector update, 150 to 180 Field of
View expansion simultaneously with the mirror
program allowed BA to minimize costly downtime and
alleviate potential training backlog.
This update for
the first time allows the standard WIDE projectors
to meet and exceed the latest JAR level D and MPL
certification standards for 180 degree field of View while maintaining
commonality with existing projector systems and Image
Generators.

I wanted to thank
Q4 for an excellent job last week on our B747#4
simulator.
The conversion to the SuperPan tubes maintaining the
180 degrees and the re skin of the mirror has been
completed in a professional manner and I am happy to
report that the sim has passed its flight test and
is now in service on schedule.
Thanks again
