Barco broadens visual display solutions portfolio to include cross-cockpit collimated displays

Xenia, Ohio – Barco, a leading global provider of visual display systems, announces that it will now provide cross-cockpit collimated displays (CCCD) to serve commercial airline and military aviation simulation customers.  Barco’s new venture broadens the company’s extensive visual display portfolio and positions it to offer complete systems for flight training simulators.

     Barco’s cross-cockpit collimated display system business will be centered at its US Simulation headquarters in Xenia, Ohio. Barco has entered into an exclusive arrangement with Q4 Services in Orlando, Florida to manufacture the polyester film mirrors for this product. "Q4's collaboration with Barco will result in cost effective, high-quality products unsurpassed in the visual display industry,” says Martyn Rolls, Development Manager for Q4 Services, LLC. We look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship with Barco."

     The new collimated display system will be optimized for use with Barco’s new line of LCoS projectors and will be FAA/JAA Level-D compliant.
